“A Farmer’s Lad” is a feature packed book production that included a photo shoot to provide a portrait image suitable for the front cover. Paul Stanier of Zaccmedia produced the photography, providing a range of images for Geoff, the author, to choose from. Geoff selected his favourite image which is what you now see in the finished product. The book was launched partly in celebration of his retirement from his job as rural solicitor, dealing with agricultural law across the north-west of England. With a wry sense of humour, Geoff wanted for the back of the book a shot of himself clicking his heels as he journeys into the distance.
This particular book had a range of features included in it, such as line illustrations to convey the contents of each chapter of the book. These were brilliantly created by Geoff’s son, Daniel Clement. There were also over twenty scans (some photographic) that Zaccmedia generated from old photographs and materials that were to be included in the book. These were image enhanced, and to an extent repaired. These modifications may not be apparent, but it’s part of our attention to detail on each project.
The interior of the book has been beautifully designed, taking into account the context of the content and the images and illustrations featured throughout. Added touches, such as thumbnail size illustrations included on each Chapter head, elevate the book to a higher level of production value and presentation. All the images are carefully captioned, and the entire text was professionally proof edited.
You will also see examples in the image gallery of the double sided flyers we produced on silk card, a web graphic for displaying on Facebook, Twitter or emails, as well as a collection of 3D rendered cover images that can be used for a variety of design and display purposes.
