Book Description

This is the touching story of a Zambian woman who takes a journey into her mind to recollect key events of her life. Munsanje Brenda M. Dixon goes deep within to reveal her painful and joyous experiences; some will leave you with goose pimples and others will leave you in stitches. She talks about her humble beginnings and the fierce battles she has had to face, and then uses these experiences, reinforced with the word of God, to encourage those who are sitting where she once sat. She stands firmly on her motto, ‘To the living, there is hope’, and urges people never to give up on their dreams, regardless of the difficulties they face. She also advises those who look down on others or gloat over people’s misfortunes to think twice, because tables can turn. With all the battles the author has faced, she holds no feelings of bitterness, resentment, anger, guilt or regret, but maintains a positive attitude to life. This is a book you cannot afford not to read. It is full of wisdom with much to learn from it.

Munsanje Brenda M. Dixon is a former nurse/midwife who worked for 15 years at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) in Lusaka, Zambia, before emigrating to the United Kingdom nearly 15 years ago. She is now a teacher, an assessor, and a trainer in health and social care. However, she tells herself that once a nurse, always a nurse. Munsanje has also worked with private colleges to provide assessments in education and training.
Munsanje is a visionary, a motivator, an author and a loving wife. She has a great passion for orphans and less privileged children. Munsanje is also an up-and-coming property developer in her native Zambia. And guess what? She is a diehard supporter of Manchester United FC, together with her husband, and she is keen on keeping fit by going to the gym almost every day.
